Boujdour (Refugee Camps), May 31, 2021 (SPS) - Prime Minister, Mr. Bushraya Hamoudi Beyoun, supervised today, Monday, in the wilaya of Boujdour, refugee camps, the ceremonies commemorating the 5th anniversary of the passing of martyr President Mohamed Abdel Aziz.
The event was attended by members of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, the government, the National Council, as well as citizens and representatives of various provinces, institutions and bodies.

Algiers, 31 May 2021 (SPS) - The Algerian newspaper, Bladi News, published today, Monday, an interview with the Sahrawi Ambassador in Botswana and the SADC organization, Mr. Malainin Lakhal, in which he addressed a number of issues related to the continuation of the Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara, and the blackmail campaigns waged by the Makhzen against various countries, including Spain, to force Madrid to accept the illegal occupation of Western Sahara.

Dakhla (Occupied Territories), 31 May 2021 (SPS) - Saharawi journalist and former political prisoner Yahadih Jalihenna Abdelaziz Essabi was presented on Sunday before the office the general prosecutor in the occupied city of Dakhla, Western Sahara, which extended the period of his police custody by 72 hours following his arrest.

Brussels, 29 May 2021 (SPS) - Professor at Nouakchott University Souleiman Al-Sheikh Hamdi suggested Friday to coordinate the efforts aimed at improving the security situation in the Sahel region with the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), underlining that it can play a stabilizing role in this region.

Gaborone (Botswana) 27 May 2021 (SPS)- Botswana Federation of Trade Unions (BFTU) backed Botswana Government’s position on Western Sahara and affirmed that Africa cannot be free as long as Western Sahara is not free, in a Press Statement it issued Today in reaction to Africa Day’s statement of Botswana’s Minister for External relation, Honourable Dr. Lemogang Kwape, widely broadcasted on the country’s Medias last Tuesday 25th may.

Chahid El-Hafed, May 27, 2021 (SPS) - the leader and militant of the Frente POLISARIO, Minister of Equipment of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SPSD), Sidahmed Batal passed away  Wednesday due to the Coronavirus.
Sidahmed Batal has held various positions and responsibilities within the government of the SADR and the Frente POLISARIO, the latter being the Minister of Equipment.
Because of this tragic loss, the Presidency declared a week-long national mourning. SPS

Geneva, May 27, 2021 (SPS) - The Geneva Support Group for the Protection and Promotion Human Rights in Western Sahara denounced Wednesday the continuation of the illegal military occupation of most of the Non-Self-Governing territory of Western Sahara by Morocco, calling on the United Nations to look into the situation of human rights in these territories.

Algiers, May 27, 2021 (SPS) - The National Council for Human Rights (CNDH) stressed that the celebration of Africa Day aims to strengthen relations and exchanges between the countries that have long suffered from colonialism and racial discrimination, lamenting the enduring occupation of Western Sahara and considering it as a black spot that stains the image of Africa.

Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), May 26, 2021 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) carried out new attacks against the entrenchments of the Moroccan occupation army along the wall of shame , said Tuesday, a statement from the Ministry of National Defense.
According to military communiqué N 195, "forward detachments of the SPLA bombed, on Monday, entrenchments of the occupying army in the Zmoul Oum Khemla zone (Oum Dreiga sector).

Canary Islands, May 25, 2021 (SPS) - The president of the Town Council of Fuerteventura, Sergio Lloret López, received today, Tuesday, May 25, the delegate of the Frente POLISARIO in the Canary Islands, Hamdi Mansor, on a visit made to shed light on the current situation of Western Sahara with the island institution and strengthen collaboration for future projects to support the Saharawi people.

Madrid, 24 May 2021 (SPS) -The Spanish Foreign Ministry has again denied the claims and untruths of the Moroccan regime, aimed at damaging the image of the symbols of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), in particular President Brahim Ghali, affirming that the Saharawi president did not arrive in Spain with a falsified passport, as reported by several media.

Pretoria, 23 May 2021 (SPS) - The signatories to an international Declaration (Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean) expressed their strong support to the Polisario Front and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) in their fight to recover their sovereignty over the Sahrawi territory, calling to take an active part in the first tri-continental meeting of solidarity with the Sahrawi people, scheduled for December in Algiers.

Paris (France), 22 May 2021 (SPS) - Polisario Front representative in Paris, Mohamed Sidati,, said Saturday that Morocco "has experienced a spectacular failure in its attempt to incite European nations to legitimize the occupation of Western Sahara," warning against Rabat's political blackmail against the countries supporting the decolonization of the last colony in Africa.
