Para-Medical School, July 27, 2020 (SPS) – The head of the Secretariat of Political Organization, of the Frente POLISARIO, Jatri Aduh, oversaw Monday the closing of Martyr Hmeti Nagih Summer University of Sahrawi Youth and Students, held July 22-27, under the theme « Sahrawi Students loyalty and commitment to the Martyrs .» 

Aid to Sahrawi: Embezzlement allegations are "absurd and ridiculous"

New York, 26 July 2020 (SPS) - The Polisario Front's Representative to the United Nations, Sidi Mohamed Omar, denounced on Friday Morocco's constant recourse to "blackmail" in the implementation of UN resolutions on the Sahrawi issue, arguing that the only path sought by Rabat is the "indefinite irresolution of the conflict" in Western Sahara.

Spain “must honor its historical responsibilities”

Moscow, 25 July 2020 (SPS) - Spain “must honor its historical responsibilities by putting an end to the injustice committed” against the Sahrawi people, said Russian media outlet Pravda, pointing out that the time has come to decolonize Africa’s last colony.
Columnist Luis Portillo Pasqual del Riquelma published in the Russian paper Pravda that “Spain, like Portugal did in East Timor, must do the same in the case of Western Sahara, honoring its historical responsibilities and putting an end to the enormous injustice committed against the Sahrawi people.”

Humanitarian aid to Sahrawi people: Misuse allegations are “unfounded”

Brussels, 25 July 2020 (SPS) - The allegations of misusing the humanitarian aid of the European Union (EU) to the Sahrawi refugees are “unfounded,” and they only divert the international opinion from the issue of the occupation of Western Sahara and the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination, said Algeria’s ambassador to Brussels Amar Belani.

CONASADH expresses its concern over Saharawi political prisoner’s situation in Moroccan prisons

Gdeim Izik’s Sahrawi detainees on hunger strike

El-Aaiun, 20 July 2020 (SPS) - The Sahrawi political detainees of the central prison of Kenitra and of local prison Tiflet 2, were on Friday on a hunger strike of 48 hours in solidarity with their companion Ahmed El Bachir Ahemd Esbaai, honorary chairman of the Sahrawi Association for the protection of the political prisoners, who was victim of medical negligence.

Namibia roundly criticizes Spain over involvement in Western Sahara resources plunder

Geneva, 18 July 2020 (SPS) – Namibia has roundly criticized Spain in Geneva for its involving in the illegal exploitation of Western Sahara resources, claiming that Madrid "evaded its international responsibilities."
On Thursday, during the periodic review of the human rights situation in Spain, Namibia regretted that the recommendations it had formulated on this subject were only partially accepted by this country.

Security Council called upon to include human rights monitoring in MINURSO mandate

Covid-19: No cases recorded in Sahrawi refugee camps, liberated territories

Shaheed El-Hafed, 18 July 2020 (SPS) - Saharawi Minister of Public Health, Kheira Bulahi, said Thursday that the Helath Ministry "has not recorded any confirmed case" of Covid-19 in the Saharawi refugee camps and liberated territories of Western Sahara.
Bulahi called, at a press conference held at the headquarters of the Saharawi National Archives, on "all citizens to remain committed to the lockdown measures, whether in the Sahrawi refugee camps or in the liberated territories , in the face of this exceptional situation due to the spread of coronavirus".

National Secretariat praises SPLA’s efforts against organized crime and drugs

“The efforts of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army units to secure the region and fight drug gangs and organized crime coming from the Moroccan occupation through the wall of shame towards the countries of the region.” National Secretariat’s communiqué said
