Bir-Lahlou, 30 October 2019 (SPS) - The UN peace process in Western Sahara is at a critical juncture and the Frente Polisario is left with no option but to reconsider its engagement in the process, said the Frente Polisario in a statement following the Security Council adoption on MINURSO resolution‏.

Chahid EL Hafed, Oct 30, 2019 (SPS) - In the early hours of this day, the American diplomat Christopher Ross, accompanied by an important delegation from Princeton University in New Jersey, arrived at the Saharawi refugee camps as part of a work program supervised by the university administration. The visit of the former UN special envoy for the Sahara runs until next Friday.

Brazil, Oct 30, 2019 (SPS) - The representative of the Frente POLISARIO in Brazil, Emboirik Ahmed was received, Tuesday in the Federal Chamber, by the leader of the Republican Party of Social Order (PROS), deputy Toninho Wandscheer according to Sahrawi from Sahrawi representative  in POLISARIO
The Saharawi diplomat briefed his interlocutors Mr. Wandscheer,  on the latest developments of the Sahrawi question, particularly, the efforts to find political solution which enable the Sahrawi people to exercise freely their right of self-determination

New York, Oct. 29 (USA) - The representative of the Frente POLISARIO, Dr. Sidi Mohamed Omar met Monday with Ambassador Jerry Matthews Matjela, Permanent Representative of the Republic of South Africa to the United Nations and the rotating President of the Security Council, the meeting comes ahead of UNSC next deliberations on the draft resolution on the extension of the mandate of the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO).

Stockholm - A delegation of members of the Swedish parliament start a visit to the Saharawi refugee camps and liberated territories of Western Sahara as from Sunday, said a statement of the representation of the Polisario Front in Sweden.

New York, 27 October 2019 (SPS) - President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Brahim Ghali, has called for the immediate closure of the illegal border area of El Guergarat, opened by Morocco.
In a letter to members of the Security Council, Ghali said that the Polisario Front had neither agreed to the opening of the crossing border nor approved "trade traffic" in the region.

Bir Lehlou (Saharawi Republic) 26 October 2019 (SPS)- The President of the Saharawi Republic, Brahim Ghali, congratulated Botswana President, Mokgweetsi Masis, on the sound win of the General Elections that took place in Botswana on 23rd October.
In a letter he addressed to President Masisi, Brahim Ghali expressed delight “about the successful organization and conclusion of the General Elections in Botswana, in calm, transparent and orderly manner as reported by the majority of international observers.”

Sydney (Australia) 24 Oct 2019 (SPS)- The Australian Council For International Development (ACFID) adopted a resolution on Western Sahara during its Annual General Meeting held in Sydney on 23-24 October, affirming strong support to the Saharawi people’s struggle for freedom and self-determination.

Algiers, Oct 22, 2019 (SPS) - The Algerian-Western Sahara parliamentary friendship and fraternity group said, Monday in a statement, that the Saharawi cause is a priority for the Algerian people in their support of the liberation movements in Africa.

Algiers, 21 October 2019 (SPS) - Algeria's position in support of the Sahrawi cause and Western Sahara people's right to self-determination is "clear and unequivocal," the minister of Communication, spokesman of the Government and acting minister of Culture, Hassan Rabehi, said Monday.
Rabehi, in reply to a question on Amar Saadani's latest comments about Western Sahara, said they were "trivial" and reflect only the views of their author.

Wilaya of Awsard (Refugee Camps), 20 October 2019 (SPS) -  The 15th edition of Fisahara (Sahara International Film Festival) held from 15 to 20 October 2019 in the wilaya of Awsard, Saharawi refugee camp, in the presence of foreign delegations and national invitees, has been wrapped up.

New York (UN) 19 October 2019 (SPS) - The 74th Session of the Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee) adopted a resolution Wednesday evening reaffirming the right of Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence, in accordance with the principles set out in the United Nations charter and UN General Assembly Resolution 1514 on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples.

New York, 19 October 2019 (SPS) – The UN Security Council, met Wednesday, to address Western Sahara question, called for appointing a successor to special envoy Horst Kohler.
During this in camera meeting, there was consensus on two important points: rapidly appointing a successor to Kohler and preserving what has been achieved in Geneva talks, said a source close to the matter.

New York, Oct 17, 2019 (SPS) - Cuba reaffirmed at the UN, its commitment to defend the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination based on respect for the principles and purposes of the UN Charter , International Law and the relevant resolutions of the General Assembly.
"We reiterate support for the efforts of the Secretary General to reach a mutually acceptable political solution between the parties, which provides for the self-determination of the people of Western Sahara," said Cuban Ambassador Humberto Rivero.

Ausered, Oct  17,  2019 (SPS) - The 15th edition of the Western Sahara International Film Festival kicked off yesterday  in the Wilaya of Ausserd, in the presence of members of the National Secretariat, the government, foreign solidarity, artists and a large audience from the camps of Ausserd.
The current edition, held under the theme "International Film Festival calls for an immediate cessation of repression in Western Sahara," was launched by the Prime Minister, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Mohamed Wali Akeik.

Willington (New Zealand) 15 October 2019 (SPS)- New Zealand Council of Trade Unions (CTU) called on Tuesday on the United Nations to organise, without further delays, a self-determination referendum for the people of Western Sahara, considering it to be the only possible solution to this last case of decolonisation in Africa.

Paris, 14 October 2019 (SPS) - National Secretary of French Communist Party (PCF) and vice-chairman of the Party of the European Left Pierre Laurent reiterated Saturday his party’s strong support to the Sahrawi people’s claims, notably the inalienable right to self-determination and independence.
