Protest in New Zealand against conflict mineral imports (WSRW)

A local environmental organisation in Dunedin, New Zealand, this week-end protested the arrival of a bulk vessel entering the port, loaded with phosphate rock from cocupied Western Sahara.

In the background of the photos, one can spot the vessel 'Triton Valk', just having arrived the port. The importer of the cargo is the fertilizer company Ravensdown.

AWSA holds its annual assembly, welcomes Geneva negotiations

Sidney (Australia), December 17, 2018 (SPS) - Australia Western Sahara Association (AWSA) on Wednesday held its annual assembly in Sidney, Australia, evaluated its work in the past year and drew up a schedule for the next year, and elected a new leadership.

In a statement, AWSA welcomed the recently concluded first round of negotiations held on 5-6 December 2018 in Geneva on the UN mandate to conduct a referendum on the sovereignty of Western Sahara.
